I have downloaded J2ME SDK 3.0.5.
But how do I run it? I don't find it's .EXE file anywhere.
I want the GUI where I can develop mobile applications.
All I see is this:
I even searched in C drive. Please help.

You are doing it wrong.
Get JDK:
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/ ... index.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
and "All" package:
http://netbeans.org/downloads/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I hope it was all.
It's preconfigured and ready to produce actually working apps.
I hope you are not building apps for mobile phones. Bloated, AD infested, boring, simple, arcade and overrated Android apps are in fashion now. >.>

@z3r0aCc3Ss:
Wonderful that you have decided to play with Java!
Might I suggest that you use Eclipse?
It's a truly awesome IDE, and really good for creating Android apps (I use it for that purpose myself).
Code: Select all

There's actually a difference between those IDEs? 0.o
They both look same to me. >.>

Well honestly I just prefer using Eclipse xD.
But I remember netbeans as being more clumsy, slower and used more resources.
Also Eclipse sounds cooler, while netbeans sounds like canned food.

I have it all. JDK latest. I know, I can use that through NetBeans. But, I don't want that.

I totally agree with you thought. Even I don't like it, but I have no other option, (just for last 3 months I have to do it).skulldragon_001 wrote:You are doing it wrong.

I have it all, but do not want to develop it through netbeans. Its heavy.
Edit:
Ok, got it. Problem solved... Thank you

Re: How to use J2ME SDK 3.0.5?
Eclipse seems to have evolved.
When I first started my Java mobile app development, Eclipse had nothing to offer so I had to stick with internet beans.
Also, for other purposes, both IDEs then looked very similar, no difference. But just NB gave what I wanted and faster.
