Android game graphics

Post by maboroshi »

I am thinking of learning how to design graphics for 2D mobile games. Does anyone have any advice or resources they would be willing to share?

Here is some resources Gogeta pointed out.

Code: Select all

http://opengameart.org/
http://open.commonly.cc/unlocked
http://www.freesound.org/
I was looking for suggestions on software as well as tutorials. Some say Inkscape is good for software, but I am thinking Fireworks in all honesty.

Please share your 2D game resources/software

I wanted to also ask about Mobile Screens PPI. What is the size and resolution I should make my images (or resize them to) for a mobile phone/tablet such as Android?

Gogeta pointed out an animation in a game is usually 8 - 16 frames (Just a note for myself)

*cheers

Ya that's the thing, I suppose it really doesn't matter what graphics program haha.. There is no special thing to make you create great images :-) I suppose its a matter of personal preference :D
