right joebox, seen that article too a little ago.. :)

what I like the most about what that guy did with the bike is that he ported a very old craftsmanship technique ("lugging") to a top modern state. using lugs (the connection parts between the tubes of the frame) was a dying art since the aluminium frame hype where the tubes are simply welded together (which usually looks horrible, especially on mass production frames).
but a few weirdos (me included) never lost their love for steel frames (my bike has one) where lugging is widely used, and so they had a little comeback lately in the consumer class...people obviously pay more attention now to quality and craftsmanship, and focus not THAT much anymore on "how cheap is it?".
preserving such old techniques like lugging will definitely help to keep the bike market interesting.....because "new" not always equals "better". :D

3D printing is awesome :P I watched a youtube clip a few weeks ago where someone printed a full size House ^.^

maybe not a new pie from scratch, but definitely cutting a small pie out of a big pie.. :lol:
