Relationships

Post by Hiram »

You may say, 'my' girlfriend, boyfriend, lover, fiance, wife or husband, but when you
fall in love do you own someone or you develop special feelings for someone?

Guys, let's get this right so that we can know how far we can go with relationships.
Why do you go nuts when you find your sweetheart in a compromising situation with
another fellow?

Exactly what do you own about a relationship?
Bring it on guys.

Should I say?:
Let's get Civilized.
This World, this Universe, belongs to All in it;
you just have to know exactly where you belong!!!

well, imo there is some form of mutual ownership in a relationship, there is some right of exclusivity for example ("you have sex with me and nobody else")...at least in a healthy relationship.
without that exclusivity it's not a relationship, it's nothing but promiscuity, or in the "best" case "friends with benefits"...but even then no deeper feelings could be involved, and deep feelings (and that includes jealousy) are, at least for me, something that defines as relationship.

Oh my God. 8O
Scatter; have you ever asked yourself why you were created?
May be if you don't believe in creation; there are those who believe in the big bang: Ever
asked yourself why you exist?

That is not why we exist. May be something to preserve mankind, but how to manage it!

Can't you trust her to deal with him appropriately? If not then that's the problem...

I tend to agree with BB, the core foundation of a relationship is exclusivity and mutual respect. with out that a relationship is worth close to nothing in my eyes. can you elaborate more on the situation/moment/incident you cought her in? was she in on it?..

My my my. Guys!!! :-k
I thought there is a difference between Love and a Relationship. Circumstance can put two
people of opposite sex together. That may not be love, though sometimes true love may
come like this, for people meant for each other.

There are cultures or by religion where a woman is just given to a man. Or a young man
waking up one day and they tell him that they have got him a wife. This can't be love, but
just a relationship.

Okay, among relationships, there can be love, but not all.

When Philosophy comes in, I am afraid to tell you that what you own about a relationship
may not be tangible.

My story is about knowing how far to go with a relationship, not much different from yours
though. But love being like a fart! That's where my worry is Johnny boy. [-(

bad_brain is indeed in love, but jealousy may not be a good boundary. It may already be
a critical condition. I mean this is not something you could use to hold onto a
relationship, but something you can use to end one.
