Wow, Google. That's a real dick move on their part. I'm honestly glad I've always stuck with Firefox, though it is far from being the perfect browser. I'd love to explore other browsers, but I don't want to give up my browser extensions.
I am curious though, isn't Google Chrome mostly open-source, available as "Chromium"? If so, why not just go back into the code and revert the changes yourself. You would have to switch to Chromium though, and I'm not sure what the difference is between Google Chrome and Chromium... maybe the DRM stuff needed to play streaming media from places like Netflix?
well, Chrome is based on Chromium but google added a whole lot of proprietary stuff.
I used Chromium for a while when my OS was so messed up that regular Chrome did not work anymore....it was a pretty annoying crashfest, almost as bad as with Chrome Canary... also lots of features are missing, IIRC it can't even play .mp4 and .mp3
