Post by l0ngb1t »

hey,
I've installed ubuntu 10.10 on my desktop as an inside windows application in my D: drive
however i boot with linux i can display the content of the C; drive normally, as it appears in the Places tab in the menu,
how can view the D: drive content ?

Thank you.

I assume the drive is simply not mounted, post the content of /etc/fstab and let us know what drive and partition D: is (like 1st HDD, 2nd partition)...

SOLVED
ok all what i had to do is:
sudo apt-get hal
sudo apt-get ntfsconfig
then goto ->system -> ntfs config
a box will open... it auto detect the drives.... etc....

credit goes for HPPRINTER for helping me in it.
