Just like you said, SHA-512 or Whirlpool.
Most likely a SHA-512 though as that is more common.

A password hash in a Microsoft Word 2003 (.doc) document that prevents editing:

I think they might have gone a bit overboard with this considering I can physically remove the hash from the file...

.doc is the most retarded text file standard ever....oh how I love it when customers send me .doc (or .docx) files with stuff they want me to put on their sites, of course I have to copy&paste everything into a regular .txt file first then to get rid of all the invisible control characters... :roll:
