Computer Cleaning

Post by hpprinter100 »

I want to start offering computer cleaning locally, but using compressed air is uneconomical so I want to get an Electric Duster.

Which Electric Duster is best for cleaning?

I found Datavac Electric Duster ED-500 for £83, which is really expensive considering it costs £30 in America. Anyone in Europe seen it for cheaper?

Thanks HP

hmmm....that things sounds actually like a good idea, I am also annoyed to afford the compressed air cans all the time.... :-k

check amazon.com, they sell it there for 50 USD, shipping to Europe is usually no problem...

I use a vacuum cleaner to clear out dust and dirt from the computers I work on. I just attach the hose and bristle brush on it and start the sucking!

Tip for others - I like to keep the computer plugged into the wall outlet to discharge any static energy while working on the computer. I just keep the power switch in the off position.

Right - keeping the PC plugged in the wall provides the GROUND connection to discharge any ESD, its a 12vdc unit - as long as you don't take apart the power supply module you won't risk a 120vac charge.

I knew you knew that, just felt like repeating it anyways :-k
