fake ap with BT
fake ap with BT
I want to set up a fake AP with backtrack. Anyone got any good links or advice on how to set it up?
Re: fake ap with BT
hmm, well you could use airsnarf provided BT has httpd, dhcpd, sendmail and NET::DNS which it probably does.

So, im still looking for a good tut on how to use airbase (or similar program) on backtrack 5. I have watched every video and read every forum/post i can. I have not been able to find anything useful to me yet. Can someone please help me out with either instructions of your own or a link to some good info? I need some pretty detailed info, as low level as possible.

Isn't that the BTOpenZone, BTFON originating in the UK?
I watched some tutorials on Hak5, on DNS tunneling through those AP.
It's only a proxy though and ever so slow, plus the server computer usually your home PC has to be running to tunnel into it. Pointless if on holiday and wasting electric
It's better than nothing though.
EDIT: Completely mis-read the thread! Sorry about that!
