I delivered supplies to the medical tent. Its cold and very windy, but spirits are up. I spent drug money I made in the MMMP movement.

lol - thanks hiram. it is a serious time. but then again, you never want to see me smile - either I am about to laugh with you, or kill you.
I guess this is the post where i say this - I do remember my antisocial days, hiding in a dark room, with only computers for outside contact. I remember hating people, and forsaking them for machines. I know this is completely different - being an activist. Some how I crossed the line from being a hacker, invisible to protester, visible.
If you feel compelled to do something, do it - or you will regret it.
If you have power or ability to help someone, do it - no one else might help.
I am not doing this for me, I am doing this for the future - this is the begining of change.

right now its a tent city camp of about 90 people, about 400 people live at homes and come out during the day.
Homeless people are a threat to the tent city - while we like to help anyone - we do not have resources to help homeless people. A few have mental problems. I guess today they want me to show up in my old security uniform and gear - and rouse them. I will train a security team and set up access points. I will bring special tape that tent city occupiers will have on their jackets to identify them.
Next - i will check on their media team...
they need teachers, speakers, leaders.

Stav - its like everyone is out here, communist, socialist, tea party, no-party. All ages, all races.
i guess right now, the key is first to rally the people - this is a meeting more for spirit.
I see people wanting to be reassured that they were not the only ones that thought something was wrong with the current status quo, the system. People are first coming together for moral and spirital support.
I say this, because - I have no idea how we are going to get 'there from here', but it is the begining of change.
I was to assist the security team, its fucked. But my priority is with medical. Security team had to deal with stolen laptop, possible sex assault, bar fights from bars that came to the park. gunfire at nighttime. Its not easy Occupying detroit, the security team tried to organize the homeless people as not to take so much food, and we had to triage homeless in the medical tent, some - nothing we can do for them. One, we called Karmono's Cancer ctr to see if they will take a homeless person with pancreatic cancer.

Great pics and very good words to match buddy, your right this is not about us or we could just go and carry on with our own business and not have a care in the world. The truth is this does affect us all.
As you know i have been at the #Occupy LSX (London Stock Exchange) and have some great footage and interviews with the people for suck-o.com, i have left one ssd card at a friends with the interviews but have some great pics, will post very soon.

Not happy today. We need more people. We might lose/close the medical tent as there are no qualified people to help. We are tired. I am getting sick.
Its strange again, I became a hacker, a digital person in the machines - because I hate people. Here I was trying to help them, and they can't/won't help themselves.

Thanks for being out there and being active! I've been active with the occupy segment where I live and it's great to see so many people coming together and realizing they are not the only ones who realize this whole system we live in is fucked.. that they aren't the only person who realize that people's basic needs are not being met, that there is enough food and housing to feed and shelter every person in the world but over one fifth of the world goes to bed hungry at night. Even better, it's good to see hackers being involved in this. So many of us aren't active in our communities at all or at the best vote once a year and throw some change at a big non-profit which probably isn't going to do much with it anyways.
