So this applies only to the US, right?maboroshi wrote:So effective very soon, Google and all other search engines will be forced to data mine your search queries as per laws in place by US congress.
Classic case of blind leading the blind. Good thing my country doesn't give a shit about anything computer related ^^computathug wrote:I know this is in the UK too, not sure about other countries but they will all follow suit.
It's not nation specific, it's about search engine... well really anyone who owns infrastructure in the US. They have to keep logs of all traffic, and what-not, to be available for federal inquiry. It was part of the child protection law that passed last month H.R. 1981 I think it was, may have been H.R.1891ph0bYx wrote:So this applies only to the US, right?

I don't know what's worse, child abuse or abusing child protection. What's next? 24/7 video and audio surveillance of every single person on the planet as another part of child protection? And of course anyone who's against such draconian laws would be considered a pedophile supporter.lilrofl wrote:It was part of the child protection law that passed last month H.R. 1981 I think it was, may have been H.R.1891
