How to add signing key and synaptic question

Post by Stavros »

So I'm trying to download the latest version of kismet, but I've not figured out how to add the kismet signing key. It's been too long since I've used linux. I've added the repository as natty and it shows up in synaptic, but gives me a warning about downloading. I know I need the signed key to insure I've actually downloaded kismet and not a random backdoor.

Also, why doesn't Gnome 3 come with synaptic? Does it use something else? I know I could use just command line, but I like having the option.

Nevermind I fixed it.
