Sylpheed Signature

Post by JohnB »

How do you change the signature?

I've read the manual and FAQ and all I could find was info on changing the "signature separator" (--).

I googled this and the solution seems to be making a ".signature" file with my signature in it in the /home directory. This was the instruction for a linux operating system though (I'm using win 7).

I searched for a .signature file in the sylpheed directory but found nothing. And I don't see an option on how to "point" sylpheed to the .signature file as it said in the forum.

it's pretty simple, I just use the german localized version, so it might not be exactly named as I translate it.
you go into the settings->edit mail account, pick the one to edit, and under the tab named write or create you can set the signature either via direct input or by the file path.
