Bike

Post by ayu »

My bike got stolen today, thus I was late for work, and then it started to rain while I was walking ](*,)

If I find the one who did it, I'll give him the bike for free, but he wont ever be able to sit again, and every time he farts, there will be a "tjing tjing" sound from his ass.

tjing tjing I bet is a swed thing. :D

usually people who steal bikes are local to you, they just decided 'today' they were not going to walk home. Keep an eye out for it in brush, as that is where they ditch 'community rides'.

what no bike lock?

Dunno why they chose that specific bike : / ... it's kind of old so not worth much.

Curious, what kind of lock did you use?

fuckers...if I would catch someone trying to steal my bike the only thing he would ride for the next 12 months would be a wheelchair.
I never leave my bike alone, not even for a minute, even if I go to my favorite tea shop I take it in with me.

but yeah, would also be curious what lock you had. if you want to be on the safe (well, safest possible) side get a "Kryptonite New York" for example.

I had a rather simple chain lock, nothing they can't break open.
Never really expected my bike to get stolen in this area as it's very calm where we live now.

I took a walk before to see if I could find it anywhere around, but it was nowhere to be found.
I will continue looking though, as I need it to get to work, and I don't really want to buy a new one right now.

I might use my wifes bike for now, but I will lock it in the basement from now on, which is just what I will do to the person who stole it, if I can find him or her

Anyway, for now I am just hoping that the person who stole it will fall and get hurt really badly, if possible over a large gay man who mistake the fall for an attempt to rape him, which of course the gay man would love and immediately starts humping the **** out of the ******.

But meh, shit happens I guess.
I learned a lesson from it at least, to place a tiny bomb under the saddle next time so that I can detonate it whenever my bike gets stolen again, and then read about who's insides got painted on the walls the next day in the paper :)

a good protection is to have a seat clamp you can open without tools, like this one:

when you leave simply take saddle and seatpost with you...even if there are just 2 bikes they will surely not steal the one without the saddle...

hmm removing the seatpost and seat is smaller than the front wheel - which is what some people remove for security (also since the front wheel does have quick release - it can be stolen too!

another trick is to shift both front and rear gears far out as you park - that way the chain will come off as the rider tries a quick get away.

Good luck on finding the bike, you still have a chance.

That is a bummer but even in the quiet areas you get the occasional thief.
the seat idea I found to be interesting never thought of that.
