Well, i would like to know
1: In what form do you login when using the mailserver default webblogin? i mean, is it like name or name@domain.com ?
2: Does the app have a default Admin/Root account? if it has. wich of them? and in what form is it used? (ex: admin or admin@domain.com)
3: does the app have any default test accounts that comes with it when installing?
I would fix all this info myself if i had Linux, but i dont have any computer that it works on, well i have 1 but i want Windows on this one for gaming purpose. A friend of mine was about to help me getting this info, but his computer broke when he was checking it (whats the odds of that?)

1. yes, it´s name@domain.com
2. nope. the default root mail account on *nix is an internal account which has nothing to do with an "external" app like squirrelmail.
3. yes and no. there is no default account, but (depending on the settings) there may be default aliases like "catch-all" and "majordomo" (<-on sendmail).

Yeah i know that, but usualy a mail server like that has an admin mail inbox :/
like admin@domain.com that is created when the server is installed, or?
EDIT: oh, and do you know if the server logins are capital sensitive? :S

nope....
you have to establish all mailboxes manually, there is no default admin-one....when you establish an adress you can set it as admin one, the login for it is still name@domain.com then, there is no admin@domain.com-one. produce a error (404 or something like that), the contact-adress which is displayed there is usually also the admin adress for the domain...

ok, i think i just figured out how to know if there is an account or not on a server like this ;/ , like if i send a mail to admin@domain.com i would get a mail from like "Mdaemon@domain.com" saying that the mail wasnt delivered, but if the account exists i wont. Correct?

depends on the settings, if the "catch-all"-alias is enabled every mail to a non-existing adress is sent to the admin-adress...and it also depends on the mail-server settings....

and then i send a mail again to another adress and i dont get that mail back to me, doesnt that mean that the adress exists? (under the same same domain ofc)

oh forgot to ask, does anyone have the webblogin files for squirrel mail? like login.php redirect.php etc? ....i would want to study them ;/
Edit: oh and another thing, im looking at the login.php for the webblogin, and in the form im seeing <input name="just_logged_in" value="0" type="hidden"> what is this inputbox for?

I have no idea what´s the hidden field is about, maybe some kind of validation thing when you're already logged in so you don´t have to login for every single site....
