Display/Hide menu on click

I have this website developing. On click on menus on left hand side, I want text to be displayed on main body.
So, hide the current text on the main body. When I click on one link in the menu on left hand, new text should be displayed on the main body, hiding the current text.



How to do this? Using jQuery would be preferred.
