Help finding an anime

Hello guys!

I've been searching for some time now for this anime that I used to watch when I was younger. It used to air around 2000-2002 (I know, I can't remember correctly though) on MTV late at night (it was after the one that looked like Starsky and Hutch). I'm looking for that anime for a year now and can't find it. It's not in the list of MTV animations so it might be MTV2 or VIVA I'm not sure...
It's about a group of people (there was one hot girl in it) living in a spaceship, there was an animal too, a dog or a monkey, can't remember

Please help if you can!
