I think avalon chips are in the region of 0.07 bitcoins a chip so about $7/£5

Ya butterfly labs asic chips are definitely the more affordable one.

KNC Miner (Saturn/Jupiter), estimates 200 GH/s and 400 GH/s actually the most affordable I have seen. Also the mercury at 100 GH/s
