Can't force HTTPS on suck-o

How do I get chrome to force HTTPS on suck-o, when I type the address in the bar chrome wants to default to HTTP unless i start with https:// which is a pain.

Re: Can't force HTTPS on suck-o
oh, ok...just was about to come up with this extension because Chrome obviously don't support URL rewriting like FF for example:
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/deta ... lhlhkmfidi" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/deta ... lhlhkmfidi" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Re: Can't force HTTPS on suck-o
Is it possible to stop chrome asking me if i want to visit suck-o? It keeps bitching about your self signed certificate, and it also asks separately for the forum so I have to "Open frame in new tab" and then accept it again.

Re: Can't force HTTPS on suck-o
hm, you should be able to export the certificate and then import it to the keyring of trusted CAs.
BUT I just noticed the certificate ran out in 2011 already, so I will have to generate a new one as soon as I have some time, because I doubt it can work with a timed out one in general. I#ll post here as soon as I have done it...

It says its imported and I can see it the certificate in the list of Trusted Root CAs but Chrome won't accept it.
Internet explorer shows similar behaviour but refuses to add styling. Firefox will accept an exception but then won't load the styles.
All the browsers complain about the odd HTTP url for images or javascript.
EDIT: Chrome is working fine now... not sure why it took several reboots

Re: Can't force HTTPS on suck-o
there you go. instead of fiddling around with a new self-signed one I got a cheapo-godaddy-certificate instead.
should work without any additional action from your side now because godaddy is already included as trusted CA in all browsers...

Re: Can't force HTTPS on suck-o
I was worried I made you spend $400 on a certificate but apparently godaddy have a 98% off deal.
Do godaddy keep a copy of the certificate, is that not a security issue if the vendors are compromised or if i held them at gunpoint and asked for it ?

Re: Can't force HTTPS on suck-o
if it would have been 400 bucks I would have rather went with a new self-signed one, no matter if you would have problems with using it...but for 5.99 the laziness in me took over...
yep, they store it, but it's useless without having the according keyfile generated on the server during the CSR...
