SF anime recommendation

Post by ph0bYx »

Could you recommend me an SF anime that takes part in space and isn't too much improbable. Something like an animated version of Star Trek.

Thanks! :)

I think its called Mouretsu! Space Pirates

Its a sci-fi pirate themed anime and the sci-fi elements aren't over the top in fact it actually feels pretty well done. And don't be put off by the all-girl cast, the anime doesn't go down the route of ecchi anime shows which are boob then story.

Did you know that the original star trek show had a hidden message in all their episodes. They are teaching people about contract law and the bartering system, notice that money is never used. Its very informative once you realise what they are talking about.

yeah, you have to keep in mind in what time period the original show was made, it was during the Vietnam war. I don't know if Roddenberry was much of a hippie, or if he simply was good in marketing and created some kind of utopia which had the best chances to sell in those days (people wanted peace, and in Star Trek there was no money anymore and everyone on earth was living in peace). :-k
