Add Google searching to Copernic Agent

Post by maboroshi »

Decided to talk about this software a bit. DNR has mentioned copernic in the past, it is now free software and a very decent searching software.

Wanted to show how you can easily add Google Searching abilities to this application.

Open your command prompt, type regedit and locate the following path.

Code: Select all

### This is the path
HKEY_CURRENT_USER - Software - Copernic - Agent - System
Then add the following string (REG_SZ) entry or modify it if it exists

Code: Select all

EngineUpdateAddress
the value for this entry should be

Code: Select all

http://updates.copernic.com/k2upd/agentex
Open Copernic and update your search engines. Google should now be available in your list of available search engines.

*cheers

glad you like Copernic, it saves a lot of time when searching keywords, it gives results on up to 15+ Search engines at once. Since I start from Chrome, I first high light a keyword I see - and "search google for.." then I cut and paste the keyword in to Copernic - thus both are working separately and simultaneously.
