I have just installed Ubuntu 6. I downloaded Intel modem (in a file intel-536EP-2.56.76.0_16_07_2006.tgz), but I don't know how to install this. Can someone help me? What should I do? Oh, and don't mind the language (I am an English language teacher).

I found a HOWTO:

p.s. you have to unpack it first of course:
