"USB out" for internal HDDs?

Post by bad_brain »

it's getting crowded in the locker below my TV......9 TB on 4 externals now... #-o

I'm considering getting a NAS, but the ones that would really do for me and would make sense (12 TB RAID1) are damn expensive.... 8O
of course I could pimp up the drives on my home server (3 TB RAID 1 at the moment), but the problem is that I need USB connectivity to be able to use the drives with the media player for my TV... :-k
or has anyone have ever heard of a way to loop internal drives to the outside directly by USB?

There is an UNEQUAL amount of good and bad in most things, the trick is to work out the ratio and act accordingly. "The Jester"

oh, I have such converters too....but what I am actually looking for is some sort of "reverse USB port", one that enables you to connect to an internal harddrive directly from the outside ... :-k
