it's getting crowded in the locker below my TV......9 TB on 4 externals now...
I'm considering getting a NAS, but the ones that would really do for me and would make sense (12 TB RAID1) are damn expensive....
of course I could pimp up the drives on my home server (3 TB RAID 1 at the moment), but the problem is that I need USB connectivity to be able to use the drives with the media player for my TV...
or has anyone have ever heard of a way to loop internal drives to the outside directly by USB?
"USB out" for internal HDDs?
Re: "USB out" for internal HDDs?
i bought once an hdd enclosure for about 12$ and disassembled for some reason... it's like SATA2 to USB converter...
am not sure if i understand what you are asking but i hope that helped a bit...

There is an UNEQUAL amount of good and bad in most things, the trick is to work out the ratio and act accordingly. "The Jester"

Re: "USB out" for internal HDDs?
oh, I have such converters too....but what I am actually looking for is some sort of "reverse USB port", one that enables you to connect to an internal harddrive directly from the outside ...
