my cellphone interacts with my ID card

Post by bad_brain »

just been fiddling with my online banking, and during the process I did lay my phone aside onto my ID card...and the phone kinda interacted with the chip on it... :-s

it can be reproduced as shown in the clip I took (I put a piece of paper on my ID card for privacy reasons)... :P

Interesting, must be an NFC chip in the card :D

There has been a few interesting incidents in my city where people have gotten their train cards copied when someone has passed them with an NFC reader xD

yeah, the saucy part is that they also store your fingerprints on that chip (if you don't refuse to give them, what I of course did)....until 2 or 3 years ago it was even a must to give them your fingerprints, guess why my ID card was invalid for almost 10 years before I got a new one this year....
