kali / nmap no hosts

i installed a fresh copy of kali on one of my laptops. i did an update, upgrade, and dist-upgrade. i started my postgresql database, started the metasploit service, everything seems to be running correct. msf is connected to my database. when i run nmap, inside of msf and outside of it, it wont find any hosts on my network.
ive tried a few different search commands.
db_nmap -p 1-65535 -T4 -A -v 10.0.0.0/24
ive tried it with T5, ive used the -PN command. it only finds itself and my android tablet. i have two windows machines both wired to my router.

any ideas on why its not finding any hosts? i cant find anything very helpful out there on this.

never mind. i rebooted and it works fine now.

God i hate that. hours of trying different search commands, looking through everything i could think of, searching online...... freaking reboot.
