I have a couple.

My favorite is an alfa USB card and antenna which I Velcro to the back of my netbook when in use. I think it was an AWUS036H but it may be an AWUS03050NH. It's very portable, supported well by Linux and works much better than the stock adapter.

I have a Hawking antenna (HAI8DD) that I attach to a HWUG1 adapter; which although nice, is not nearly as portable... so mostly it just sits on a shelf collecting dust :D

Hi guys,

I always have my ebook reader (onyx boox m96) in my backpack. It a big one but I recommend this one for everyone that reads a lot. Also I carry around paper notebook which is made with binder clips and some paper sheets. This paper notebook I think is one
of the most useful thing in my backpack because I can organise paper sheets how I want or put them all on table and get full view of all notes.

@cats thanks you reminded me about my huge old wallet... How practical stainless steel wallets actually are? I never used one :)

Edit: Yea, paper notebook is not a gadget but it helps a lot :-99

Doesn't matter, I wanted to start a discussion about all the nifty stuff you guys use so that I can maybe steal an idea or two

I've bought a small USB hub that fits in my laptop bag because I have only three USB ports on my laptop.

Very practical if you don't carry much cash :) (I never carry cash on me).
I usually only have my ID, debit card and bus card on me, so a card holder is just right for me :)

I think they are, perhaps only as a novelty or way to better understand antenna geometry.

When building a program to sample atmospheric interference for the creation of truly random numbers, I built a discone antenna pretty cheaply out of coat hangers and PVC pipe.

Well currently I don't have a case for my phone.
I have One Plus so it's rather large.
Wouldn't want to bring it up every time I had to pay, and thus I think I will keep it separate :)

I briefly considered getting a One Plus phone. How do you like it?

I love it! :)

They still haven't fixed the latest Android version which sucks I guess.
But they have been having some issues with Cyanogen and decided to make their own release of Android.
So if I want it I can flash in the latest one, but I'm not in a hurry at the moment.

The phone is rather large but I've gotten used to it and can't imagine anything else at the moment anyway ^^
Also it's cheaper than the other high end phones.

I highly recommend it :)

I have an eye on the John Steed style umbrella since a while already:

Wow. That's incredible, it's worth having for windy weather alone.

I've found it cheaper than $229.95, but I have a stainless steal umbrella which is quite sturdy. If that gives way I'll definitely get this one.
