TXT records are actually used for a lot of things like SPF records, DMARC- and DKIM-records.....such records contain information for receiving mail servers (for example) in order to get your outgoing mail delivered and not marked as spam.
what I tried is to see if you can enter anything as TXT record or if there is a standard....so yes, you can enter anything.
the fun part is that such DNS records are often requested and viewed together with the domain's WHOIS record by people who want to sniff for information...so why not insulting them a bit at that opportunity?
I have to add that I am not 100% sure if such a record, which follows no standards, does not lead to any form of penalties...
