qupzilla browser

Post by bad_brain »

reactivated cats' netbook that I got some years ago, out of lazyness I've installed Kali on it instead of Debian as usual...and it's a pretty bad resource hog (and buggy).
worst is the onboard FF-clone browser, starting it rendered the system almost unusable.

so yeah, long story short: tried some lightweight alternatives, and the one that works really well (and fast) is qupzilla:

https://www.qupzilla.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

will give it a try on Windows too...:D

Looks quite neat actually :-k.
I have a relative who keeps complaining on how slow her browser is.
Might check this out to solve her problem.

How well does it work with flash and so on (if it has it at all)?

hm, didn't notice any issues with Flash or any other content, haven't visited many sites yet though as I use the netbook mostly for google hangouts while relaxing on the couch. :lol:

it DOES support Flash etc. though, because when I checked their FAQs it's shown how you can disable it...;)
