Product Key for Microsoft Office and Norton Antivirus
Greetings
Was wondering if you have any product key for Microsoft Office. After having to reset my computer, Microsoft Office and Norton Antivirus got wiped and asking me to activate it again.
The product key that I used before is missing, and I'm not sure it would work again anyways.
Humbling seeking your help.
Thank you.

Hmm sorry, don't have any laying around.
So unless anyone else has one they don't use, you'll either have to buy new ones or switch to free alternatives (That's what I did).

Allow me to know where to get free alternatives.
The only site I know of is Cnet.com but I don't trust it to tough.

Will the download of the office allow me to use Word documents that were saved from the original?
Also used to use AVG Antivirus software before but people convinced me that Norton Antivirus is better. Allow me your opinion on this.

Yes, you can open regular Word documents, although they wont always look exactly the same.Dr-Chambers wrote:

Anti Virus today is a bit of a special area since there's not a single anti virus company that can really keep up with all the malware anymore.
Your best bet is to use a "good enough" one, and then use common sense for the rest (which includes keeping all your stuff up to date).
If you want the one that got "best in test" several years in a row, use https://www.bitdefender.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (It has a free version)

Re: Product Key for Microsoft Office and Norton Antivirus
I'm still using Open Office:
https://www.openoffice.org/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
not sure how good it is though, because I only rarely need it, mostly to print name signs for my letterbox and door bell (both are directly exposed to the sun so they fade pretty quick)...
not using an AV anymore since years (used Kaspersky until then), but when I am moving a website from 3rd party hosting to my server I always do a scan with clamav (I use it only on demand, and not as background service):
https://www.clamav.net/downloads#otherversions" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The word document have a specific template and its the template that I still want to use.
Do you suggest I download both Kaspersky and Clamav? I'm not planning on moving any websites.

Would you say that this is worth downloading?bad_brain wrote:I'm still using Open Office:

I've been using Norton Antivirus software for years, but I'm sure there is a lot stronger stronger since its release.
Was browsing this, your input would greatly be appreciated.

Re: Product Key for Microsoft Office and Norton Antivirus
looks like it sucks...
here's why:
in the free version you ONLY have "cloud protection", means you are ONLY protected when connected to the internet. check this:
https://www.immunet.com/assets/guide_in ... deebce.png" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
how are you supposed to clean a seriously infected system where you can't or don't want to go online anymore?
also: how big is that cloud "community"? because the smaller it is the less up to date their definition database will be.
if you don'r want to use ClamAV because it's too "linuxy" for ya get free Kaspersky, top notch virus database and scan engine, also does not dig itself too deep into the system:
https://www.kaspersky.com/free-antivirus" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
