what's the point of the third war game the first was to register(which my nick is in...don't ask me how) and the second...well it's changed now i have no clue....so please explain what needs to be done

The first post in this forum is saying that you need to get the following file

/jane/secret.enc

So for instance, if you were on my server, you're trying to get the following file:

http://fatalh.sytes.net/wargames/3/jane/secret.enc

Manipulate the encryption-expertz website to get the file.

This type of statement is not a hacker’s mentality so I can understand your quitting so rapidly. Perhaps you will not become a hacker?

it's not that it's just i haven't done anything like that so i can't do it if i learn it (which i do rather quickly) i can do it, but yeah i understand where you're angle is coming from but i like to learn first even if it is just a little bit and then try it...more then what he gave me

Ever heard of learning through experimentation? That's what these wargames are about. Trying new methods that you never thought of before. Just because you don't know a step by step procedure for hacking the challenge doesn't mean you shouldn't give it a try.

Give it a shot, be clever and you may beat it.

I ONLY HAVE.....3 WEEKS OF EXPERIENCE

i don't know how to even take a server down......that's why i would like to learn some more then i can give it a try experemntation with me dosen't mix (it's like mixing water with vinegar)for if i do that i probably end up in a dead end so i like to just fill my knowlage(EDUCATE TO ELMINATE

) at the least i only use windows....so if you would like for me to experiment i need atleast a brief summary of everything(like hows it done and where to start at) simple stuff so i can climb up the giant mountain of ....stuff

Damn you. I can't figure this one out. Do I need to have php installed to complete this challenge. I have been reading up on php but.

P.S could someone check on the status of wargame 4 and tell me if it is up and running I would like to try that one too just because I don't think wargame 4 needs php knowledge

p.s.s do I have to have php installed to firgure this thing out. Or do I not need anything special.
