dDoS I have been searching for text files on dDoS for the last couple of days and I came aross your site, thanks for the text files and can anyone help me with writeing a dDoS attack script for a IRC server.

exactly....and "hacking" imo is about freedom of information for all, and taking down IRC servers is the complete opposite.here at www.suck-o.com we dont condone the use of information for malicious purposes, such as and not limited to "Crashing Servers" and the like.

DDoS means Distributed Denial of Service
Both types are used to bring a server down, normal DoS-attacks are using a vulnerability in the target´s system, they are runned from only one box, a DDoS attack is runned by multiple computers against the target. DDoS attacks bring the system down by sending masses of requests to the target server until the bandwidth is exceeded, so the system is either collapsing completely or at least the traffic is so high that the server is defacto unreachable to user requests. for DDoS attacks a whole network of systems is needed to run the attack, these are the so-called botnets, botnets are usually zombie machines which are infected by malware and so they can be coordinated from a single box. I think Stacheldraht is a program to coordinate such attacks. but stay away from that, it´s the best way into prison...
