i no its lame but i waz tryin to deface a web site.... you no we gotta start some where.i used a google to intitle:"index of" service.pwd(yea i no i'm lame )got a list of sites with the service.pwd,i got the user name and the encrypted password,i no i gotta use john the ripper to crack the password,but it just doesn't seem to work on my pc (ne time i click it itcomes on 4 bout a split sec and then disappers) so i downloaded cain and abel.I read the help file but it is way to complicated..Could you plz give me some step-by-step instructions on how i would go bout cracking this password using this software.
