Hello guys am new to hacking but i am trying to get my head around it.
I am doing a security module at the Uni and each student must set up a server make it secure and then attack one another.

Can you please tell me where i can find any software that i can use to attack and break other's students security? We will be using either Windows NT or Unix.
Also i am looking into DOS attacks too.

umm...wouldn't it make more sense to learn how to secure your server instead of learning how to break the others? tools are worth nothing without understanding what they do.
I recommend to setup a nice Debian server and get into this:

while securing your own server you learn about the opposite at the same time...
