Little Advice on this one ..

Post by knightm4r3 »

Well, I don't consider myself a "Noob" when it comes to computers, but phones? Yep I'm a newb with phones.

I need help finding a number that isn't a listed number in the phonebook. I'm not quite sure as to how to go about this without paying some company online.

Does anyone have any insight on this?

Thanks KM43

(I didnt post this in the phon/phreaking, because I thought it fit better here, please move if necessary)

Wardial. You can find some pretty interesting things.

You will find unlisted numbers but the only way to check is in the phonebook.

But grap a phone and dial all numbers from xxx-xx00 to xxx-xx99.
Record your results. You'll be surprised what you find. Carriers, fax machines, test numbers, business networks. A whole world of stuff can be found.

The hardest part is telling the difference in the tones. it's not too hard... unless your tone-deaf. Practice and lot's of googling come in handy.

I have the phone number, I need to know who the person and their adress. I know the number and the provider.

Thanks, Sorry fot the poor wording.

http://www.reversephonedirectory.com/

I usually use that.

But what your looking is a reverse phone lookup. Google it to get more info.
