got defaced

this f****** asshol* defaced my site i fixed it now though, i know who it was and i wana kick his ass so what do u suggest i do ..

you mean the one at forumer.com?

if yes it would be pretty embarrassing for them..... because it means they supply their users with unsafe platforms. nothing much you can do man, you can contact the support and ask for the logs, but it's doubtful they'll give them to you.
so forget about it and get a real domain.....I'll host the site on one of my servers then, will be much more secure...

First find out how he hacked it to prevent it from getting hacked again... other things after that, there are many ways to take revenge.. the best one would be to add a page on your site with that guy's picture and a headline "Lame hacker caught!!" and an insulting story....i dont think you need to hack him back or sue him.....

ummm....it's all HTML, right? and the guestbook is offered by the host, right?
so it was either a vulnerability in the guestbook or the compromise happened on a lower (server) level...in both cases: fault of the host.

This got me thinking:

Well, then what is the difference between myspace profiles getting 'hacked' with HTML, and alien's site?

I know disabling HTML is the modicum of security I can provide (on myspace), but how would it be different on an HTML level for a plain old site?

Alien, i thought you were better than that. Taking revenge only starts a fight and in the end, it gets you nowhere. Just forget about it, secure your website, and move on.

success is the sweetest revenge, alien.....if you crack his shabby site it's nothing but a waste of time, and your own site will be still insecure then.
spend your time for your own site...the little lamer will cry when your site became a success and his site is gone already because nobody cared about it...
