A little confused graphics..headers...banners

Post by Swan »

Ok guys,

I have added what i think is a site header graphic to my site.

www.sumlege.com

Couple of questions:

1) Is my graphic a site header?
2) Whats the difference between a site header and a banner? :?

i have tried googling it but a little confusing
To the wicked, I am merely too knowledgeable in their ways.

I may be wrong on this, but

AFAIK, a banner can be placed just about anywhere on your site.
Common examples are images for advertising.

A header is like..
Well, see the suck-o dude up top on the left? With the colors and '...mind over matter'?

That's the site header.

um, I would say the header is the graphic on top of the site and a banner is one of these buttons (like in the affiliates block)....but well, best is to ask twice if someone talks about a banner because it can be meant as header too..

A header is always a banner but a banner may or may not be a header...lol

header is always on top ,but a banner can be in the middle or bottom of page too i think...

(offtopic:Your site needs some work to be done, i will help you make a gateway page and a few other things, just tell me when you're online)
