Unlock Cell in Canada

Can someone tell me a good phone I can buy to unlock in Canada and make "free" phone calls with? Another question is this even a good idea? Won't it be obvious to the phone company that someone is using a phone illegaly? I hope I didn't break the rules if so I'll edit my post. so if someone doesn't even know the answer and thinks I'm breaking the suck-o rules can you let me know.

hm....kinda marginal topic, but I'll leave it unlocked.

ummm...that's pretty all I can say about this topic, my phreaking knowledge is very limited (at least when it's about cell phones)... :?
