when i try to play any avi video my PC block(freeze) or restart automatically .
i tried a lot of codecs & players like : Windows Media Player Classic , WMP 9 , WMP 11 , Winamp , RealPlayer , QuicTime , DivX , VCL Media Player .
But i cant fix this problem . I also tryed with regedit . When i format my pc i've this problem but after 2-3 weeks i dont know what happent and i get this problem .

Do u have any solution for this prob. ?

have you installed something or made any other changes before it happend?

well, first of all it's bad to install a lot of codecs because they can interfere and make your system unstable and buggy....also many codecs include spyware. best is to make a clean new install and use just one codec pack, best get the open source one:

i've cleaned my pc with Kaspersky & Spyware Doctor . now i've installed the xvid pack , it's fine the video start but when i click at WMP explorer freeze again & i cant anything . :( now i thing its an problem with register keys . i've imported the old reg keys , but now i cant play the avi file with WMP 9. I must download WMP 11 .

i will reply after if i fix or not this problem .

same problem , explorer freeze & restart again :( :@ .

i hate this problem .

have you installed something or made any other changes before it happend?
I think i've installed PowerDVD .

hmm...looks like installing the codecs and different media players messed up the system, I really recommend a complete new XP setup... :? when done make sure only to install the codec pack I posted....or maybe only Nero.... :wink:
