You said it b_b those are the main two reasons I wanted to learn, in fact I was inspired by a hacking group (Sorry, I can't recall their name at the moment.) who uses their skills to put pedo's in jail by gaining info on them and reporting it to local law.
I hope to learn a lot, I'm new at this, but I will try my best not to ask stupid questions, and waste your time. I know google is my friend and I will use it as best I can before I ask.
I'm currently actively learning python, as well as c++ and javascript, tho the last two are on the back burner for now.

Hacking does not mean you have to be insane, or nucking Futs. Who the fuck am I to say, I sit here packing a hit, almost finished with a half-pint of Jim Beam, on an empty stomach while grilling up 4 pounds of bar-b-Q'ed chicken legs, on a Char-broil gas grill on my own fucking back patio, of my own house in the boonies.

Some times it does seem like a waste of time but things are not that rosy in my life and I feel like it is other peoples fault any way. So it does not really matter to me.

Ya. So anyway...

I'm G-Brain. I'm a Perl / PHP / C++ / C / (learning) ASM programmer. I had seen this website a couple of times before and decided to join it after bad_brain joined the Progenic BBS.

I'd say I'm a pretty decent coder, lately I've been working on my own website (g-brain.sesoyo.com) which is in Object Oriented PHP5, MySQL and XHTML Strict. My website hasn't got anything useful on it (as of yet) and I'm proud of it.

I'm interested in low-level programming, ASM is short for AweSoMe in my opinion. I also audit web-applications, do MySQL injections, remote and local file inclusions, Cross Site Scripting, that kind of stuff.

Also, I'm a probationary member at g00ns.net. I think I'll enjoy my stay here
