rooting box/webserver

well, i have been busy and stopped hacking for a long time because of my work as a QA lol..now i got interest in hacking again.. by the way..kindly list the topics that i should learn in order to do

- webserver rooting.
- remote pc roorting.

idk if i am correct but i belive you can use telnet to root and also ettercap to sniff if i am correct if not, oh well what can you do i am human :lol:

Well... I could go into details about remote attacks found in server's such as XSS attacks or nukes... as well as pc exploting, but I leave that up too two sites:

You can also check out two books, The Art of Exploitation, and The Database Hacker. Those books might help you greatly. :wink:

you're telling me that just go to milw0rm and packetstormsecurity eh?.. those sites are for exploits only..well i need some more opinions..
im asking for a list of certain topics for me to study in order to execute the thing perfectly..give me a "list" for example

-nmap
-net cat
-etsetera
-etsetera
-and so on and so forth..

gets what am upto?

No, I wouldnt know what your up to... but sounds malicous. Milw0rm and packetstorm have papers that might help you... Also, for a list of hot programs check out:
