Game packet editing

I am starting a little project with my friends and we planned to start with packet editing the game World of warcraft.

Now what i want to ask for is =)

1: Recommended packet capture/editing/sedning porgram (tested Ollydbg and ethereal but could not get my finger into attach it to tha game)

2: Recommended tutorial =)

Would be great if you could leave me any tip

I have no idea if this stuff works or for what it´s good for, I use Snort for packet capturing, but that´s possibly not the kind of program you´re looking for...

Now, you don't happen to have a tutorial on how to decrypt packets? =P
can't send my own "hacked/changed) values if i can't decrypt them

like bad_brain said...gamehacking.com has some good tools you can use...i personally would use WPE Pro...i've used it in the past for a lot of packet filtering...they've also got a listing of some pretty good tutorials to figure out how to determine the packets you'll need...and how to use the program

heads up..if your anti-virus acts up...it's just "the man" trying to stop you from being "naughty"...with "hack tools"...
