Anyone have a preference other than GIMP..

..for image editing? I am used to photoshop CS2 and find gimp rather annoying. Anything else I can try? I DONT want Windows anymore though, so if I have to suffer without photoshop..so be it.

I lived on MS paint for a long time. Tried Photoshop and couldn't make it work. I liked MS paint the best untill I discovered the Gimp. I can't make beatiful pictures like TKOH but I make custom icons almost daily. (Gotta love linux for using regular images).

Why dont you try to learn how to use GIMP?

I use to hate photoshop till I learned how to use it.

Same for GIMP just learn it.

hm, well, gimp is still state of the art, so you will not find anything with more possibilities....and imo it's worth the time and effort to get into it.
