Update:

I've decided to make a huge change to the project that will require a major amount of work on my part: I'm converting the forum to use MySQL. I know in the past i've shared my views on SQL, but after learning it, i can definitely tell that it is secure enough, and that insecurity and flaws are caused by the coder that uses it, not the service itself. I'm recoding the entire PHP base of the project.

Do you guys notice any problems, or have any ideas for change in functionality? Remember, the layout is not final, it's a temp until the graphics designers finish their end of the project.

wow looks really nice, with a good interface and some more work im sure it will be a super projekt!

Yeah, it probably was because i was making a few changes to the files to enable editing...

Anyway, i'm not sure if i'm going to make it open source or not, but the forums will certainly be one of a kind!

As for the colors, i have people working on a graphical layout for it, so it's just so that i can format stuff properly...

Edit: I looked at the lines of those error messages, and looks like i made a mistake. Good one, mrmike, thx for pointing it out.

Update:

You can now view profiles and edit your own profile, the members page has also been updated to show more information. More information required for registration.

Bugs fixed:

-Posting/creating topics without logged in
-Editing other users posts
-Post count works properly now
-No more \' and \" in your posts or signatures.

I'm continuing work on this, just giving the team an update...

Sorry that i didn't have a look before, got totally caught up in anime and heros xD

Anyway I had a look now and I registered, and I have to say GREAT job so far!

But, I want to make some notes, maybe you are about to fix it maybe you are not, but I will make it anyway just in case =)

I just made a quick check but this is my little list so far.

1: You should make a check so that the email is entered propely (mine is "lol" at the moment)

2: You should be able to choose to NOT show the email in the profile (or maybe others can't already?)

3: Not something that I "noticed" just wanted to ask. Are you sure EVERYTHING is protected against SQL injections? ^^

PS... 4: max/min lenght of pass and username?

Well.....made a quick check, and so far ....VERY NICE!

can't wait until the design team does their part

Neo: I've tried several SQL injections on every form possible, and so far everything has reacted according to plan. However, if anybody wants to attempt to hack the forums in any way, go for it and then please report to me here.

Anyway, it doesn't matter how long a person makes their password because it gets encrypted anyway, and if a person uses a weak password it's their fault. As for email stuff, i plan on making it so you have to have a valid email to be able to log in, so if the person puts in an invalid email, it's their own problem...
