compatability??

Hey with all the stuff i got started building a comp but i dont know how to check if the parts are compatible or not.... how to u go about that? and some of the stuff i find says you need to do a bios flash or update...? any help will be greatly appreciated!

The first thing to do is check the mobo on google and check on what spec the board will perform to, then add the bits you need.

if the board needs the bioa flashing be sure to down load the correct utility from the support section of the mobo company and then save to floppy disc.
once the pc is going onto boot mode load the bios flash in the floppy and follow the instructions for flashing.

once the board is flashed start to load your system

Also a basic understanding of computer hardware will help so brush up on this. For example: you should be able to look at Ram and know the difference between the various types. Same applys with Hard drives and processors.
