boot problem

ive looked at a pc today with the error

CPU ID: OF27 Patch ID: 037

i can get the pc to start up and then when i do a restart the error disappears.
The error only comes up on the boot screen when the pc is started from off, not when restarted.

the system is xp
mobo is a GA 85648

any help appreciated thanks in advance

Are you sure it's an error and not just something special with that BIOS? i have had something like that before and that was because of the BIOS, but that "message" i got didn't made the loading stop or anything, it just showed it an continued.

yeah, looks more like a usual CPU info than like an error message.
any beep codes?
