Well i can't come to think about anything more then what we talked about before =/
1: Make sure the firewall on your comp is shutdown (since apparently it was causing trouble)
2: Make sure you forwarded the ports correctly
3: The seeders may be slow
4: Or other reasons like ISP problems or something along those lines from your side.

The same thing is happening to me. Although I do not use windows but linux I am experiencing the same problem.
I thought that if I got a vast amount of torrents that I would see some thing like 500kb/s of uploading. In fact it stayed the same no matter if I had 7 or 40 torrents seeding.

We will either find a way, or make one.

that is what i also suggested as it is a symmetical broadband connection. I wondered if he seeded and raised the upload would that make a difference. So nice bit of info there as well lyc......saved a bit of time.
k after some research i found this which apparently works. i cant test i have a asymetrical connection

i have to admit that when i was running on windows my download speeds were very very slow but since i have blasted off into the world of linux i have found that i can download a 700mb movie in about 1 hour but in 6 - 24 hours on windows.
i have to put this down to the app's at start up in windows because you dont get that on linux so if you want a mega fast download then you should get linux.

It may not be your system, or your speeds. Often times, and as of late, due to increase use of torrent sharing and p2p programs, ISP's use packetfiltering technology to throttle the bandwidth of any torrent traffic. They can typically do this, and your only option is to switch ISPs. I believe if you asked the ISP if they employ any packetfiltering technology, then that would be the root of all your troubles.
Note: I know this because.
1. My University did this my first year.
2. My ISP in my second year (as I lived off campus) also did this, forcing me to switch ISP as I had a contract it was hard, but i found a loop hole. (Nothing in TOS mentioned packetfiltering software on their network and I said I would sue if they didn't release me from my contract, as I had read and agreed to their TOS when I signed up and nothing mentioned it, and they did. BTW, I could probably take them to court too, and say that it was not allowing me to do daily functions, such as download all my open source software via torrents. )

ok I like BT and it works fine for me (A) my max is 600kb per second ( which I do get (A) ).
most providers give a data loss ratio of 1:10 so this means u loss 10% on certain periods of the day ( IE sunday ) also the factor of how far u live away from the telephone central is vital.
just a thing to add; Big-E requested a BT file from me that had alot of Seeds and Leechers to see if there was something wrong to check this search for a torrent that contains alot of seeders and leechers just to make sure that all the above isnt the problem. ( i recoment BTjunky.com scroll down on that page to see the top20 torrents orso that have mayor seeds.
N3rd out.
I ramble to much.
Basicly what ISP do is they burn down the normal port for BT traffic, I recommend that u take port: 63336 and above.
I also recommend that u use Azureus ( im using it and its friendly ).
Azureus has a tool that is called NAT/Firewall test u enter a port and it checks if the NAT status is good or blocked. it also test if the firewall interfears with the packets.
once you have found a port that isnt blocked by anything u can set it as a main port.
Last but not least is to check if you contract speed is really the speed you are getting and if so what is the data loss ratio.another thing is that ISP from america ( com-cast in this case ) send shut down packets thus shutting down your traffic or slowing it down.
make sure u have a ISP that is reliable I myself have a ISP that is a bit more expensive but doesnt fuck me over in these times of the illegal downloading (A).
