well in games it is called taping, if you press stand by on ur modem the players freeze and u shoot them the u reclick it and they dead and they all un freeze so is there a way to have the modem go on standby from my laptop that is upstairs ? and if so how

I know what he's talking about. On my cable modem there's a little white button that says "Standby" on it. Your modem will then go into a standby mode where it kind of sleeps, but will reconnect really fast.
