Good and cheap motherboards?

Post by TheKingOfHearts »

honestly i dont know nothing about mobos and i need a more
experienced review/recommendation on a good motherboard
has to be budget wise also because i aint paying 300 for one.

anyway....here is what i need it to have

P4, Core, Dual Core etc. compatible...
PCI-E x16 port...it would be better if there were two but thats optional
PCI (x2)...more would be better.
all of that standard "back of your computer" plugs.
USB, SCSI, blah blah blah etc. stuff.
dont need it to be with a video card.

basically up to date.
and also id prefer it to have blue color. i blue likes. :P

alright lemme know of anything good.

Edit: I am a moron.

Well the guys over at ocforums.com recommended I get this bad puppy for overclocking, but if you do a bit of shopping I'm sure you can get a cheaper motherboard if you're not interested in overclocking.

I could add to the confusion:
Albatron PX845PV motherboard ?
Gigabyte GA-SINXP1394 ??
ABIT (TH7-RAID)$170
ASUS (P4T) $175
Gigabyte GA-8TX(C) about $175
MSI 850 Pro $147
ASUS Main Station P5WDG2 WS Professional Motherboard about $300

whats good for the box is good for the soul..

ASROCK is the Asus side product that has less options on the mobo but has the newest support, and they are pretty cheap.

yeup, I can also recommend AsRock ones....might not be the fastest or feature-overkill ones, but they are cheap and very stable....
