Learning Visual Basic...

Post by Stavros »

Is there anything else I need to download? I downloaded Teach Yourself Visual Basic in 21 Days and I was thinking, is there a compiler or something else I need?

Much Appreciated,
Stavros

you need a programming platform, here you can get VB 2005 express edition:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/express/vb/download/
well, but I think you find it somewhere else too if you know what I mean...
Maybe there are alternative platforms, I´m sure our VB-weirdo Circuitb0mb can help you more than I can...

*pokes Circuit with a stick*

dont make me get my club with nails driven through it... lol

uh Stavros, VB is an RAD programming language, very easy to learn, you will want to obtain a distribution of Visual Basic, I use Visual Basic 6, pm me for those details...

Visual Studio is a Visual Basic, Visual C++, and Visual J++ all-in-one package with alot of extra useful features and programs, you can pm me for more on this as well

The Visual Basic platform is a design environment as well as a compiler, easy to use and navigate
