Which C++ compiler: Dev C++ 4 or Dev C++5?

I've got "Essential C++" from the download section, so I'm going to see how far I get before I get too discouraged. As the title states, which compiler?

I would suggest dev c++ 4 Dev C++ 5 is in beta although its been in beta for a while

But sometimes the newest one isn't always the best
